This week's Illustration Friday topic is wisdom. I revamped art from the past. Created in Adobe Illustrator, my favorite drawing program.
Later: Thank you everyone for your thoughtful comments. You made my day very sweet indeed!

Lovely owl and love inclusion of a book!
Hi! You stopped by my blog a while ago and I finally found your comment in my email.
You asked about my sister, and what happened to her.
She died two and a half years ago at the age of 33. I didn't find out until a year after the fact, so I don't have many details. It is believed that she died of Guillan Barr, a rare disease that paralyses the body. Many people recover, but for others it can be fatal.
I love the whole owl theme. Several artists have portrayed it so far, but yours is my favorite! I love your style... Oh, so beautiful. Oh, so WISE!
hi,
i like yr illustration fridays entry!

That is one smart owl, gaining wisdom from books, reading through the night. Great illustration Kim!
Sweet!
Mr Owl seems a tad annoyed that the moon is reading over his shoulder :)
the secret's out now on how owls obtain their wisdom... and why they're up late at night... neat illo.
Very nice! I love the pattern of the branches in the background and the balance of the moon and the owl.
Nice palette, great job !!

Beautiful blues you chose - very nice!
From a doomed FreeHand user to a more-than-capable Illustrator user, I dub this "nice". Good job, Kim! I'm loving all of these owls this week!

Helo, Kim, thank you for your comment. Definetely, a owl is a perfect picture of animal wisdom. Good work!
Thanks for checking out my "I.F." owl. I absolutely love your interpretation! Especially the way you rendered the branches and leaves. I also love the color scheme. Can't wait to see what's next!
