My friend Rita sent me this some time ago as a wonderful example of a simple, unique invitation and I ran across it again cleaning out mail. Her neighbor and a photographer, Brian Guilliaux, created this wedding invitation and I love it!

read your post of a little while ago re: artfest. you MUST go!! i've gone the last three years and already have my application filled out 2006! applications must be postmarked sept. 6. it's the most incredible and inspiring art retreat. tracy and teesha moore really put their hearts into the planning and organization. and it's in a beautiful spot!
What a fun invitation!
Yes, Tara (artcamp) says it is wonderful. I have never 'created' in a group setting before, so am a little nervous about that. But all I hear, it is great. So I will see you there!
wow...I LOVE that invite. I think it's the coolest one I have ever seen.
i was apprehensive, too, the first time i went back in 2003. i had never even taken any kind of art class before - talk about a newbie! but everyone was SO nice, SO supportive - it's not a competitive atmosphere in any way. the classes always have folks with a wide range of experience / aptitude. and everyone is very generous about sharing supplies and ideas. can you tell i just love it?? i look forward to it all year.
Eben and Christina's tender passion is beautifully revealed by Brian's expert eye. They say the artist only ever reveals himself in his subjects, and I can attest to the kind, gentle and serious nature of Brian Guilliaux that is aptly displayed in his photography. His talent is boundless.
