If you missed The Mississippi on PBS, it is a must-watch. Well, darn, the video will not show up. Just click on the link, all episodes are on PBS Passport.
Discovered this story of mimicry: Every day is Halloween for the yellow lampmussel, or Lampsilis cariosa. This freshwater mussel "mimics," or pretends to be small fish. This tricks larger fish into attacking, and when they do the yellow lampmussel springs into action. It pinches these fish between its shells and bathes them in babies, or "larvae". This allows them to hitch a ride upstream, where they will later drop off and find a new home.
