this gives me a new perspective on crows - I've always been a bit intimidated by them.

We had a family who lived near and mom fed them every morning. They waited on the roof for her to set out her unfinished breakfast toast. They knew the routine! When we gave my son a BB gun, he was shooting out the window and hit one of the crows. He ran in the tell me what he had done and I was mortified. They didn't come around for some time after that! Matt got in big trouble.
But we still had a family, here, the babies squawking at their mom in the big tree. And them warning the world against a cat or dog in the grass. Well, until recently. I think I mentioned we cut down that big tree that had been the hang out for many a bird and raccoon. The crows hung out on the roof trying to figure out where their tree had gone. They aren't around too much now and that makes me sooooo very sad. I really love thos e smart, loud, funny creatures.
