You know this would make me stop and look, closely ... Thorne Miniature Rooms. Photo below by Joe Orman.
OMG, take a look at this Shaker Living Room, view more of these miniature rooms.
Via when I laid eyes on this post about small chairs (you know my love for miniature chairs) at Pinterest, which you know I had to check out!

I love it!! Anything in miniature is automatically better! :)
I love miniatures; I actually bought a few pieces several years ago to make a "room" but decided this is one hobby I cannot afford ... EXPENSIVE! Knott's Berry Farm had a very cool miniture display years ago that I was enthralled with ... don't know if it is still there.
Ooooh. Knotts Berry Farm back in the 50's and 60's. That doll house was the thing I lingered over. But those Thorne rooms are something else. My mom has seen the ones in Chicago, and she and I saw the ones at the V&A in London. They are wonderful.
I agree with Maxinetoo: EXPENSIVE! But oh, so charming and delightful! I used to have a dollhouse as a lass, and I remember spending my allowance on tiny little pieces of stylish blue furniture. Heck, I should sell some of that stuff on eBay!
Kim! That room is fairly near the effect I'm going for, you know where! That sort of detail and shallow depth of field. Wow, so good to see it done.
