IKEA has some fun ideas to display nature. I have not been to IKEA in some time. And need to just stay away from there, too many temptations.

Did you know that Starlings mimic human speech? I don't know if I knew this but I find it fascinating. Yeah, those birds that fly in a huge group and eat all your suet in one sitting.

Sad to read about the death of one of the original "mommy bloggers", Heather Armstrong of dooce.com. She died by suicide at 47! I did not keep up with her life, site or blog but I know she was one of the very successful bloggers in early 2000's. It seems like alcohol and depression contributed, but I am sure not being the most popular blogger may have been hard to take.

Do you know how much time I spend cutting up Pixie's food into tiny bite-size bits for her? I cooked some "stew meat" I discovered in the freezer for her this morning and she actually liked/ate it. Yesterday I offered up a tri-plate of left-over liver pate (a small bit), deli roast beef and dog food. She ate the liver first. Later went back for the roast beef and then she ate the dog food last. She just does not like eating the same thing every meal, and I can totally understand that.
