I imagine laying on slightly wet grass underneath a tree, looking up. I love tress, Annie Ovenden does them beautifully. I discovered a website called THE ARBOREALISTS, a collection of artist, highlighting trees, how exciting.
I have a Pinterest board dedicated to Leaves and Trees images
David and I are trying to tackle the sticker balls from our Liquid Amber tree. They cover every inch of the backyard and deck. We are in a constant discussion about cutting down the tree because it is so much work with racking the leaves, sticker balls and the fact that nothing will grow back there because it cuts off all the light. I don't really want to cut it down because it is a safe haven for birds and squirrels. I got a few bids to remove it, the lowest price was $8,000. The deck bid, lowest price so far, $30,000.
Without Murphy using the backyard as a potty, it is safe to walk around rake up sticker balls, deadhead hydrangeas and try to clean weeds and grass from the crevices of the rock patio. The ground cover is finally doing very well. The yard is in great need of much cleaning and repairing. It seems like a monumental task but I am telling myself, one dandelion at a time and just quit when you can bend over anymore.
The weather is wonderfully bright today but the rain is suppose to return tomorrow. So back to yard work.
