I am cheating again for Illustration Friday challenge Cake. But it gives me one more opportunity to show my hand-made-paper-flower-wedding-cake with the paper butterflies on top, I made sometime back for work. I just moved it out of the office I once had, it is still in the car, thinking of just throwing it away but it was so wonderful, I had so much fun creating it and I was so thrilled with the outcome. Large view.
Go see "Let them eat Cake generation", Lost Aussie On The Loose's cupcake ship, Ellen Byrne's little cake and Bron Art weird little cake letters. There are so many fun takes on this week's challenge, but the link viewer is making me crazy ;)

Oh wow! This is sooooo pretty! The yellow is vibrant and those flowers are pure prettiness. You shouldn't throw it out...it's too pretty and must have taken quite a bit of work. Too bad you can't just eat it!!
Hi Kim! I spotted you at IF, and I love your cake! I'm going to draw one, but I posted some of my edible ones at my blog too! Your photos are GORGEOUS! I appreciate them especially since I recognize them all around our neighborhood!
This is so beautiful !! Colorful It makes me happy to look at it!!
it makes me feel like its gonna evolve from papaer cake into the worlds best Easter Bonnet and totally win the parade.

This is the best submission of all!!! I lOooLALOove this!!!
It´s the best cheat I´ve seen so far! And here goes another vote against throwing it away. Or perhaps you could use it as a piece of urban intervenitionist art installation somewhere around your town...
Wowza!!
Oh, Kim, I am SUCH a FAN of yours! Have been to your regular site many times and am amazed and impressed with your resume and body of work.
Nothing, however, prepared me for your entry this week, however! This is so cool and outrageous. Maybe you should put it in your folk art section of your site?!
You are my heroine!
Neato! Please don't throw it away!
I think it would make a great Mardi-Gras hat! Beautiful work
WOW, this looks good enought to eat! Talk about eye candy...or cake, lol.
a.
FABULOUS! so cool, love it!
Thank you everyone! I am so pleased that I get one more use out of my favorite project. It is life-size, and I took it upon myself to make this months ahead of time, to present as a logo for Today Show, Throws a Wedding. I did it on my own time, in the today show colors. I knew it would be rejected, which it was but I was so tickled with it, that I guess it did not matter. I figure, they did not know what THEY were missing. So it pleases me that someone else likes it BESIDES ME ;)
