I am thinking about this ... because I have been going out in public, grocery store, yes, even the Arts of Snohomish Gallery with NO makeup, no eyebrows! Basically looking really scary. I am going to start carrying a "makeup" "hair washed" mask and hold it up and tell people "this is what I would look like if I took the time to dress and put on make up". Maybe that will help my image a little?
Today I made up for the first time in weeks!

This made me LOL, Kim! I know the feeling. I have gotten into a little routine where I take 5 minutes to put on dark circle concealer, some powder and lipstick - though I think the mask would be much easier!
I do the same. Most of the time, I'm running errands sans makeup. When I'm at home doing art, I pull out my hole-e pants, fuzzy socks and robe. ;)
i know if I take time to shower, make up and blow dry hair I will either be soooo late, or not go at all ;) So I just force myself out the door, however I am looking at the moment (which most of the time is scccaarreeeyyy) ...
For me Dorian, *eyebrows* and lipstick ... make me feel so much better ;)
Tina, in our case isn't that a *holy* pant! Because they are sacred to us? xoxo
I'm in the same boat. At 59 my friends tell me I'm brave to wear such and such, I'm brave to wear my hair pulled back with no makeup. I realize "brave" is code for "insane" in their opinions, but I just do what I do. Sometimes I don't wanna put on makeup, which is only red lipstick and eyeliner, sometimes I do.
You look great, either way, no "bravery" involved.
Thank you Natalie! I got the same "brave" speech about my going gray ;) And then the one about reconsidering from some. Although, most of my friends do like my new hair color!
You look beautiful both ways, Ruth
Thank you Ruth ... but you have seen me at my absolute worst ... so either of these images beat that ;)
Your silver hair is sensational. If my hair would turn silver, I would let it. It turns a dark, mousy brown, so I have to have the "natural blonde" put back in it.
Ahh, thank you Natalie! I Ttotally remember telling my MIL the same thing when I was going gray (the brown-not-quite-gray-color ... weird color). I sure wish I could get that *shiny* silver .. I am working in it.
Oh Kim, leave it to you to come up with this. I'm afraid if I wasn't working I'd be in the same boat. After decades and decades of wearing makeup; it would feel good not to. I'm not nearly as vain as I was when younger and my cat doesn't care. :) xoxo
