Goodbye, Summer

It is hard to believe that our summer is almost over.

goodbye

David worked so hard on the new grass, I wish we could enjoy a little more before fall. It is picture perfect!

I'm ready for winter. I love the changing seasons plus I get a rest from the yardwork.

Pretty yard, what are those big ball things?? Mums??

Yes, I am ready for winter. But we only had two weeks of sun! ;( I would like to have a little more ... but so glad that it wasn't as hot here as it was in the rest of U.S.! Those are Euonymus bushes, just trimmed round ;)

That is one yard to be proud of! Kudos to David and you (I'm sure you did some work out there).

It looks soft like a big green sponge.

Stunning yard! Love the bubble bushes!
Hey, at 98 degrees (here in Sacramento), I'm calling it summer!

Yeah Natalie, that is AC weather for sure. I don't think we ever had a 90 degree day this summer ... and keep reminding myself not to complain ...

Thank you Peruby ... I only pruned and weeded this summer ... didn't do much gardening ;(

And YES the new grass does feel like a big soft carpet ...

I think next year I need to rethink where everything is planted. Because the trees have grown much larger, the micro-climates have changed in certain spots. I guess that happens in all yards but I hate to think about moving a bunch of plants that need more sun ;0
