Brandon Straka, who plead guilty down to a single misdemeanor after being charged with a felony for his involvement in January 6 and received probation, sat in a makeshift jail cell wearing an orange jumpsuit and MAGA hat at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas. 

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene joined and prayed with Straka, who the FBI interviewed several times ahead of the probation sentence. "Brandon provided information on individuals the government was investigating in separate cases and answered all questions posed by the government," Straka's defense team wrote in his sentencing memo. 

The government agreed that Straka provided files "valuable in the government's prosecution" of fellow defendant Simone Gold, who is now serving 60 days in jail. "Part of the plea deal is everyone is required to interview," he told a CPAC participant who questioned him about it. "Did I go in and answer questions? of course I did. So did everyone who took a plea deal."
