MAGHOUND

MAGHOUND's service will be a flat-rate magazine subscription site, where uses pay a monthly fee, and have access to these magazine on a per-copy basis, instead of being locked into a yearly subscription. Users will have the ability to switch titles at any time and can cancel whenever they wish. I wonder if this will be successful? More here.

I am, indeed, a magazine hound-this seems like the perfect idea to me. I dropped one of my all-time favs last year after 30 years of subscribing. They started to put out something called "The Green Issue" I have nothing against reading about the importance of greening the planet at all I was simply appalled that a bunch of Hollywood types were going to tell me how to green the planet...PLEASE. They ride around in their Prius for photos and then private jet everywhere constantly. I got this particular mag because they were famous for smart, funny, dish. I wrote them a note and told them to cut the green crap and I'd subscribe again. An entire magazine-month devoted to celebrities telling me how to live-Bah!
Maghound sounds great.
