Illustration Friday is this week is flavor. Meals of rich stews, homemade soups, full of flavor in the winter are the best. My mom makes something called 'Refrigerator Soup' (you can only guess, but it is always delicious). Snuggle into your favorite oversized, warm pajamas and spoon up a good stew, or potato soup (with lots of celery and onion). Yum. Cumin is actually my favorite spice - flavor for refried beans, taco salad.

Thank you Valerie!
Refrigerator Soup! Ha! What a great thought...I wonder what my refrigerator's 'refrigerator soup' would taste like...
When I think food at its best it's in Winter and is usually a stew or large pot of something on the stove :) Your Lady looks well fed and has the warmth and coziness like your idea!
I'm telling you, this is greeting card material... great illustration! and oh yes, the soup sounds yummy.
Being single, when I got home from work last night, I was so wishing there was someone there to cook for me and have a comfort meal ready and waiting ... sigh

Your words and picture are making me very hungry. Love the shapes and colors here!
This is great. Well done. Very healthy looking, which is what I need to start getting back to.
Thank you one and all.
This is great, Kim! I love the feeling of abundance and coziness you captured here. As always, I enjoy your fabulous graphic style...well done:>
nice work, it's quite cool.
Yum! Sounds and looks delicious!
nice work, Kim!
Oh, my, this is fantastic! Perhaps this can be the cover for your mom's cookbook?
I've got that soup recipe: look in your fridge and see what you have to make a soup out of! It's creative cooking! Your illo has succeeded to make me crave food. Well done, Kim. : )
Great job! Send some over.
Sounds and looks delicious! Very well done.
You use a lot of cool colors in this illo, but it has so much warmth. I just made a batch of that soup tonight. My kids used to call it "What in heavens name?" soup. Then they would scrape up all their cash and order pizza from down the street. Now they have kids of their own, they call it "comfort" food:)))
Love your illo, the details are yummy!
