Telling your 14-year-old to do anything can be very much like living on a remote island and talking to yourself. Illustration Friday, illustration by Kim Carney.
Very clever and too hilarious. My son actually sends me chat messages from upstairs to ask me what's for dinner, I guess he thinks the idea of coming downstairs is too remote. You wait Kim, your day is coming!
I look for the beauty in nature, patterns, the ordinary. This is my place where I save wonderful discoveries since 2004. Please contact me at kimberlycarney AT hotmail DOTCOM.

Yep, I remember those times well! I'm glad you have a sense of humor, and at least the remote islands are warm and pretty!
Clever - I don't have a 14 year old, but I was one once - I can relate! Love your rendering here Kim as well as the overall approach - great stuff!
