Blah Humbug

Don't ask me, I really do not know why I can't get into the spirit. And I was reminded today, I think I had the same horrible attitude last Christmas. Bri swore we would get the trees up at Thanksgiving, and we almost made it despite the entire house came down with a sniffling, snot-filled, coughing cold that sent us all to get Covid tested.

So I am slowly getting back to normal after spending days under a blanket, sipping hot toddies and NyQuil™, watching terrible TV. I have been making Santa purchases online. We had a birthday party for the Birthday Princess (which we are demanded to call her) Noah. And when I say you look so adorable in your crown, she corrects me and says "NO, I look beautiful". So noted. She is three. Mason stepped up and made an adorable Birthday Card and re-gifted a bunch of stuff that Noah found delight in tearing the homemade wrapping from.

The fluffing of fake trees done. Christmas trees decorated, done. My S-I-L is always on time with her gifts, I am still packing hers up ;( The cats have a new place under the trees to sleep. We bought the girls a new champagne pink tree for their room. And I am going to kick-start myself into the holiday spirit!

The kids card turned out spectacular. They are all so photogenic. I had plans for a Christmas card, again, it might end up a News Years card. Actually, my card was going to be a blank page which is what 2021 feels like. Mason has drawn some pretty cute drawings of Noah (seen below).

On a sad, side note, I deleted my brother's contact from my phone today. Still have my mom's, can't quite do that yet. And David's mom passed away a few months ago and still can't delete hers. Why does it feel weird to delete their numbers?

The red and green circles would do as a card.
I just stuck a photo up on facebook and called it a day.
