I start every day with a cup of coffee and thumb through as much political muck as I can physically stand. Sometimes, I reach my limit pretty quickly. This morning I ran across a twitter post about Roger Stone and how his wife has miraculously been "cured" of stage-4 cancer after 4 months and heavy dose of fund-raising from his very stupid base.
My facebook post: This is the ultimate grift. Conveniently, stone's wife is miraculously cured 5 months after a stage-4 diagnosis and his money-raising efforts and delay in the trial. This is soooooo roger stone! I wish I could say I am shocked and disgusted, but nothing from this evil man shocks me, I doubt she ever had cancer. (What is a good color for text that is complete bullshit? see below)
"As if this new deadly diagnosis isn’t bad enough, last month, the Biden Justice Department sued my wife and I for $2.2 million dollars in back taxes in a civil suit in which every legal and factual assertion by the Justice Department is demonstrably false. The phony claim by the Biden Justice Department that the Stones are somehow secretly living a lavish lifestyle is a reprehensible lie which will be indisputably proven at trial.
Although the little insurance that we have left will cover much of my wife’s medical expenses, I have no funds to pay for natural and homeopathic remedies that have been proven effective in the fight against cancer, as well as the basic necessities of living.
Between Internet censorship and the outrageous “guilt by association” claims by ABC NEWS and others which failed to produce any evidence of my involvement or knowledge of the illegal actions of January 6, we have been unable to rebuild our family finances and are struggling for necessities such as housing, utilities, gasoline, and groceries as well as the holistic medical care my wife requires which is more expensive than I ever imagined.
That is why I must appeal to you again for your support as my valiant wife fights for her life. Won’t you please help us in this time of distress? On behalf of the entire Stone family, we appreciate the prayers of the millions of Americans who are praying for us and ask you, once more, to stand with us.
God Bless You.
PS- Despite the phony DOJ civil suit against us and the terrifying cancer diagnosis for my beloved wife, our faith in Jesus Christ remains undiminished. With His help – and yours – we will prevail. So I decided to do a little deep dive on Roger Stone, although, I think I know too much about his clown all ready.
His bio:
AKA Roger J Stone
Born: c. 1951
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: White
Sexual orientation: Straight
Level of fame: Niche Executive summary: Campaign consultant, GOP dirty trickster
Longtime political operative and no stranger to dirty tricks. Worked for Chuck Colson in 1972 at the Committee to Re-Elect the President (i.e. Nixon). Helped strategize for the Reagan presidential campaign and Arlen Specter's Senate campaign. Worked on Bob Dole and Donald Trump's unsuccessful presidential campaigns. Also appears to have been helping Al Sharpton's 2004 presidential campaign, for some reason.
In 1996, Roger and his wife Nydia purportedly placed an ad in Swing Fever magazine looking for single men and couples to join them in group sex. According to reporting in the National Enquirer and the Star, the copy proclaimed:

Son: Scott
I am not a prude or easily shocked, but this is disgusting - the "Orgy Days":
"According to the man's account, Stone mentioned that he and his wife had recently been in California and had 'fun' with a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Stone told him his wife was 'a very attractive lady and that I could have fun with her, too.'
The man passed on the offer.
While the Stones weren't doing anything illegal or criminal as swing club regulars, his activities were viewed as hypocritical and immoral based on the conservative family values that Dole espoused in his campaign, and that Roger Stone advocated as a Dole front man.
Not only were the Stones identified as swing club aficionados, they were also linked to personal advertisements to meet other couples and single men in what was reported as some 70 swinger magazines and at least one website.
In one such publication, Local Swing Fever, and on a website advertisement paid for using a Stone credit card, the copy read: 'Hot, insatiable lady and her handsome body builder husband, experienced swingers, seek similar couples or exceptional muscular well-hung single men. She's 40DD-24-36; he's 195, trim, blonde, muscular and 8' +. Prefer military, bodybuilders, jocks. No smokers or fats please. Photo and phone required. R&N....We are interested in DC, VA. MD, NYC, Miami, and LA.'
The suggestive photos, which first appeared in The National Enquirer in a September 1996 issue with the headline, 'Top Dole Aide Caught in Group-Sex Ring,' showed Roger Stone naked from the waist up with a black bar over his eyes, presumably to hide his identity. Nydia Stone was photographed in thigh high stockings, with one leg up, and wearing a revealing teddy displaying her ample breasts. In another photo, in which she faces the camera, her breasts are fully exposed, but the Enquirer placed a 'CENSORED' bar across them."
If you have the stomach to read more, this in interesting 10-part series on PRETTY RECKLESS IS GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL.
2012 article describes perfectly the hypocrisy and grotesque amount money destroying our democracy. The Legacy of Terry Dolan: A Demented Political Process Dominated By Corporate Cash by Bill Berkowitz

What a mess. I think I will stick to the Washington Post and the NY Times.
