Revere Ware

Mom's 50-year-old Revere Ware is sticking and she is wondering if she can get replacement pots. ;0

LOL ... I had mine for 30 years (never liked it); finally got sick of it, gave it away and bought Calaphon, non-stick ... love it!

I was lucky enough to inherit my late MILs Revere when she died. One of the small pots needed replacement and the new stuff is not of the same quality. It's thinner and not nice at all. Everything else in my kitchen is professional grade Calphalon..expensive but worth the price. The biggest drawback is that you can't put the pots in the dishwasher-they warp. Seasoning the large fry pans is a must. Ask me how I know.

You can get new parts for old Revere Ware such as Bakelite handles and knobs, hardware, and gaskets here: www.reverewareparts.com.

Dee, I'd be curious how you season your frying pan. I haven't heard of seasoning other than for cast-iron.

Hey Peter, I don't how to season the revere ware, will ask my mom and dee ;) I think the copper has finally just worn off the bottom of the revere. Dee ... do you really like the Calphalon? Maybe I should get some for mom. Although, everything! goes into the dishwasher ... would have to really have to watch that. Hello Gerrie ... can't wait to see you Monday.
