Happy Tins

Seattle artist, Nia Michaels constructs these wonderful pieces using old tins. "Some I've had for more than 20 years and some I found perhaps just the other day at the Goodwill or a yard sale. The photos used in some of the work are original tin type photos, popular during the Civil War era. I love the idea of using other people's castoffs to create something exquisite.
