Okay, so I'm in Scotland, so I can't comment on peonies in the States, but ours have been really good this year. They seem to have really enjoyed all the snow we had over the winter. So it's nice that some things have! We've lost other things, like our big buddleia. Which is really rubbish.
It must be the year. Mine were useless.
