Dots With Meaning

Sign language fonts. Dot Braille alphabet. Basic braille. The history of braille.

Drain eye-catchers by Joana Meroz has a beautiful "braille" quality about them. And I love her Crackery tableware.

  1. When I worked with the deaf there were days when my student wouldn't show and I would be sent elsewhere. For a few months, during these "off" days, I was sent to the school for the blind, where I was required to learn basic beginner braille.

It was a cool "code" to use with my kids, students, and friends when writing notes. I still "test" myself when I see braille out and about.
