your photography is so often, if not ALWAYS, so breathtaking... and even that adjective doesn't seem strong enough to describe how beautiful they are and the affect they can have a person's psyche...
Thank you one and all! My wonderful neighbor who also dabbles in photography brought me a trumpet flower that was about 10 in. tall and said she wanted me to shoot it. We had had a discussion the day before about when photographing flowers you get an overwhelming sense of wonder and appreciation for nature with every shot! I tried to print a copy for her on my crappy (new-ish) printer, that I have never been able to print a decent photo-type print on photo paper. I could spend all day exploring what is in 'front' of the lens...I am still really wanting to take a photography class so that I am not 'experimenting' every time I shoot stuff. You guys made my day, and also makes me feel my day yesterday messing around with flowers and dead hornets was not a total waste (as I thought it was when going to bed guilty last night from not having cleaned my house!)
... one more thing.... that hornet picture was so mesmerizing to me that I had to immediately go through all 993 pictures you have on that photo link - talk about enjoyable...
never feel guilty - tell that 'guilt' -- 'get outa my head!!' LOL
I have Nikon Coolpix 995 and the macro lens I use is a Raynox 4x Macro Lens, that was not expensive. I need to take a photography class, I am really not very versed on the manual settings on the 995. I would really like to buy the Cannon Rebel, everyone I work with has one and loves it. My secret is I have a very big storage card, so I take hundreds for one good one!(http://www.gadgetguys.com/readreview.asp?ArticleID=22)
Kim, I think everything you do is beautiful but this is especially so, the composition, etc. You are so multi-talented, writer, artist, photographer, you can do anything!

ReplyDeleteGasp! Absolutely incredible.
ReplyDeleteI know the quality of a photo is 99% who is behind the camera, but I would love to know what kind of camera you use. I am close to drop-kicking mine.
