Kay McDonagh

Beautiful etchings by Kay McDonagh via Penguin & Fish.

This reminds me so much of Sam!

Kris Kuksi

Remarkable work by Kris Kuksi ... it makes you stop and say, how did he do that? Where did he get all of that cool stuff?

Ron Isaacs

The fantastic still life compositions of Ron Isaacs work seen in Snyderman Gallery. I am so in love with his work!

From artist statement: "Objects have great power for me. Natural or made, they have silent lives and histories which are borne on their surfaces. They show growth and decay, use and wear, care and neglect, and they accumulate in my life and works as signs of memory and loss and beauty. They are evidence of who we were and are. There is also mystery just in the voiceless physical presence of an object; I believe it was Claes Oldenburg who once declared that the harder he looked at a thing, the more mysterious it became. I know the feeling."

Laguna Street

I found this image while cleaning out my stuff ... where I once lived in SF ... Laguna Street. It is so weird to search on those maps and see your old place of residence, just there, like you had never left.

A New Leg

Prepare yourself for a good cry and to cheer on Nick, as he begins a new life as he gets a new leg! God, I love stories like this!

Experimenting

I found this blue truck and decided to buy it for my friend Robin, who has a truck like it. But I thought I would experiment with it first. Also bought many Woodland Scenics "Little People" from Trains, Planes and Automobiles in Bellevue. Having some fun today experimenting with my camera. I really need that digital camera class ;)

Wind And Rocks

Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde worked with a team of technical wizards to create this mammoth interactive work entitled Wind 3.0, plays with the relation and differences between nature and technology. The hundred of ventilators stimulate this sensation straight to the skin; prepared to be blown away! And Flow 5.0 via Baekdal.com. While there, don't miss these soft rocks.

Jennifer Collier

I have had this idea of making dresses and hanging them from these old wooden hangers I have. But Jennifer Collier has done it in an extraordinary fashion.

Missing In Action

I am not really missing, it has been our big company get-together for the last three days, quite an event and catching up coworkers from all coast and countries.

And of course, there are those parties and dinners for building friendships, having fun, letting our hair down!
