As I read your post about end credits I thought about how my husband and I almost always sit through the end credits, even when they're not as interesting as those of Lemony Snicket's ... or even downright boring. We watch end credits for several reasons, mostly because I think one of the first times we did sit through the end credits was for the film, "Mission" -- at the very end after the screen had gone black for a second, they showed a few seconds of the archbishop looking straight at you with a truly sad look - that look in his eyes said something we would never had "gotten" from the film if we had left before the credits rolled. We were the only ones in the theatre just then. So I realized that occasionally a filmmaker might save something special for the end credits.

Another reason is our youngest son is interested in filmmaking as a career and I always joke with my husband that we might see our son's name up there on the big screen if we sit thorugh the end credits! ;)Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09967323387645271468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9115587.post-1119710752302352692005-06-25T07:45:00.000-07:002005-06-25T07:45:00.000-07:00Wow, thanks for this sneak peak and for the tip! I meant to write about it on my blog but forgot, but I did think to mention in one of my posts Thomas Newman's soundtrack, some very beautiful tracks, oh most especially #5, "Resilience". I highly recommend the whole CD (he also wrote for "Road to Perdition" also quite beautiful !)

loved the movie, the graphics, the CD, and the books which you can download from "http://audible.com" they are great to listen to.

Gosh do sound like too big a fan of Lemony Snicket?!Cinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04858196219809317684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9115587.post-1119628397245635402005-06-24T08:53:00.000-07:002005-06-24T08:53:00.000-07:00It is true, and I was so surprised that I could no...It is true, and I was so surprised that I could not take my eyes off of the screen.
