Floating Flowers

Textile flowers by Laurence Aguerre feel so light and airy, they look like they could float to heaven.

What a character!

I know this is not an actual alphabet that you can make words from, but I find looking at the characters so soothing. Weird?

I discovered this on Olly Holovchenko's Flickr, Chinese Type Design Award exhibition at ICOGRADA Beijing 2009. I LOVE the variation of the characters.

There are a 100 in the set, these are just a few of my faves.

Extensive Chinese character table, it's in an alphabetical order based on the Pinyin pronunciation.

The Table of General Standard Chinese Characters (通用规范汉字表; Tōngyòng Guīfàn Hànzì Biǎo) is a standard list of 8105 simplified (and unchanged) Chinese characters. The list was issued in late 2013 by the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
This is very interesting, with the description, but then you can take a dive deeper into each character.
