Mixed emotions on this one.

The artist in me is digging the movement and sculptural elements and thinks this is really pretty to watch, observe, look at.

The skeptic in me wonders when enough is enough. The money and self indulgent lifestyle/escalation in Dubai is obscene.

The common sense person in me is wondering -as did one of the comments on the website did- how does plumbing (especially toilets) work when each unit rotates as hinged to a central concrete core? Are the plumbing fixtures constantly flexing also? (This is creating bad bad down the road visuals)

funny you should mention that, I envisioned the electrical wire getting all tangled up from spinning around and around on itself. But the plumbing is a great question.

They make it move so quickly in the video, that it cant really be that sort of movement. I could imagine it as slow as the reunion tower in Dallas.

I totally agree about the obscene spending and lifestyle in Dubai ... but the idea of having new scenery from ones' window is a fun one to contemplate. Although what happens when everyone wants to be on the "sunset" side. I see a very lopsided building ;)

Now, these were never survive earthquake territory ... or dust storm - tornado Texas landscapes!

I don't think I could live in this...i think I would get sick...heehee...

speaking of Texas weather...it was 93+ degrees yesterday. It's only April...this could be a long hot summer.
