Pillow Envy

Patchwork Eurosham, Embroidered Throw Pillow; Bird of Paradise Zoo Pillow ; Wool & Tye Dyed Gauze pillows. I want to make something like the Bird of Paradise.

I would love to be able to quilt/sew like this. I have the makings of a quilt my great-grandmother started probably 20 years ago - we picked out the colors together. But she was unable to finish it. I keep hinting that I want a sewing machine for Christmas - I hope my husband catches that hint...
